Scope
The constant growth, on quantity and complexity, of the data generated from the automated information extraction tools turn the task of analyzing the data much more challenging. Data visualization provides a visual representation of data, helping in both analysis and communication of information. Data visualization is closely related to information graphics, information visualization, scientific visualization, and statistical graphics.
The Special Session on Data Analysis and Visualization (DAV) aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working in visual analysis and data exploration to identify some of the opportunities and challenges of visual data analysis. The special session emphasis is on providing tools and techniques applicable to computational science applications. The special session will also offer the opportunity to fill the gap between academic researchers, practitioners and industrial parts.
